Dr. Thomas Roehr has been the director of the Animal Care Center
since 1995 and its primary veterinarian since 2001. After earning an undergraduate degree in biology from Virginia Tech, Dr. Roehr went on to graduate from the University of Georgia
of Veterinary Medicine in 1973. Although the curriculum at Georgia covered most domestic animals, Dr. Roehr has chosen to limit his practice to dogs, cats, and a few other pet species. Over fifty hours of continuing education seminars are attended each year including the D.C. Academy of Veterinary Medicine where he served as President from 1993-1994. Dr. Roehr was a founding member of the Hope Center for Advanced Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Virginia (formerly the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Northern Virginia) and has spent over fifteen years on their board of directors. Dr. Roehr and his wife Polly, a retired first grade teacher, at Highland School have raised a son and daughter in Fauquier County who have since graduated from Virginia Tech and UVA respectively.
Dr. Constance C. Houk, D.V.M
Dr. Constance Houk was born in Winchester, and has been a lifelong resident of Virginia. She attended the University of Virginia and is a graduate of the University of Georgia earning an undergraduate BS degree in Agriculture. She went on to graduate from Virginia/ Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. Dr. Houk has practiced in Fauquier County for 25 years and is a valued associate with the Fauquier County SPCA since 2011, and is also a member of the D.C. Academy of Veterinary Medicine. She has three children all born and raised in Fauquier County. Her oldest daughter is attending Virginia Tech working on her Masters and PhD. Her youngest daughter is attending VCU and studying Biology Pre-Med., and her son is currently attending VCU School of Engineering. Dr. Houk currently lives in Warrenton with her three beautiful Poodles -Chammy, Simon, and Reveille.

Our reception staff and veterinary assistants are chosen for their desire to help clients and their pets in addition to keeping the clinic running smoothly. From time to time one of your favorite ladies may be away to learn about new products or further training so that we may better serve you.
Our main concern is to make your pets our priority. The best part of our day is all the love we get back from them when we make them happy and healthy.
Pet Care Technicians
Ms. Etta Cantrell capably spoils all of our guests at Pet House Suites as manager along with her hand picked staff of pet care technicians and our groomer, Ashleigh Gray. They assure that your pet's stay away from you will be as comfortable as possible. The Pet House Suite management is Pet First Aid certified through the American Red Cross and strives to make sure you pet is safe and well cared for.
